Premier Figuier Extrême

I got the limited edition ten year anniversary of Premier Figuier, in the extreme, eau de parfum version.  Per L'Artisan's web site, Olivia Giacobetti is the perfumer.

I have been thinking about picking this one up. Can you talk me off the ledge? How is the bottle? (-;

Well, the bottle is, like the picture. The stem at the top kind of twists off, and you can then dab. A spray thingy (atomizer?) comes int he box, but then you lose the whole fig effect and it looks like a green water balloon. If you do get it, remember to take the stem only off, not the metallic rings, which stay put. Handy instructions are actually enclosed for putting the sprayer in!

I would have preferred the Mûre et Musc special edition bottle, but, well.... Fragrancenet didn't have it. I also don't like Mûre et Musc Extrême, smells like grape Kool-Aid.

I notice that the price has gone up since I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I think it was $125 or something, less a 15% discount, making it around $100. Now it is like $145 or something. I think someone figured out it was relatively rare. Looks like a number of retailers carry it on Amazon.

Metallic leaves, not rings. They stay put.

That's one gorgeous bottle, jeez. :)

At 3.4 ounces it comes out a lot cheaper than the regular L'Artisan bottle retail.

I love the bottle! Do you know how it compares to Diptyque Philosykos?

It's been a while since I smelled Philosykos. Recently fig perfumes seem kind of overpowering on me (for example, Ninfeo Mio) . This one I am very happy with. I was afraid of the extreme version, since Mûre et Musc Extrême smells like grape Kool Aid on me... but this one works!
